The State has established a marijuana control board, but the members are yet to be chosen. Municipalities can still regulate how or if marijuana is grown or sold within city limits. City Attorney Scott Bloom recommended councilors to hold the work session, which will begin at 6 pm tonight in the Kenai Council Chambers. The meeting with start with a presentation from Bloom and will include a short public comment period, but Mayor Porter said the intent at this time is for Council to learn about the legal parameters. No decisions will be made at this time.
