first_imgStory Links NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Regional Tournament Selections INDIANAPOLIS – The University of West Florida men’s and women’s golf teams both earned spots in NCAA regional tournaments scheduled for the first full week of May. The men’s NCAA South/Southeast Regional will be hosted by Saint Leo on May 4-6 in Dade City, Florida at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club, and the women’s NCAA South Super Regional will be hosted by Armstrong State on May 3-5 at Savannah Quarters Country Club in Savannah, Georgia. NCAA Division II Men’s Golf South/Southeast RegionalThe top 10 teams and top four individuals from non-advancing teams from the South and Southeast regions will compete at the regional hosted by Saint Leo on May 4-6. West Florida won one of three automatic qualifiers in the South Region by winning the Gulf South Conference championship. Lynn and Benedict claimed the other two after winning the Sunshine State and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic conference titles, respectively. Nova Southeastern will be the top seed from the South, followed by SSC champion Lynn. Defending national champion Barry will be the No. 3 seed from the region. West Georgia is the top seed from the GSC at No. 5, followed by UWF at No. 7 and North Alabama at No. 9. Peach Belt Conference champion Flagler will be the top seed from the Southeast Region. The top six teams and top two student-athletes from non-advancing teams from the 20-team South/Southeast Regional will advance to the NCAA Championships on May 18-22 in Conover, N.C. NCAA Division II Women’s Golf South Super RegionalEach of the four super regionals in Division II women’s golf will include nine teams and our individuals from non-advancing teams. Rollins earned the No. 1 seed from the South Super Region, followed by defending national champion Lynn at No. 2. West Florida, with the No. 7 seed from the South Super Region, earned the only bid from the Gulf South Conference.
