Scott Frost has been tasked on getting them back there, but he has his work cut out for him.The Huskers’ season opener against Akron was canceled due to storms in the area. Last weekend, they lost a heartbreaker to former Big 12 rival Colorado.Today, Troy visited Lincoln, and for the second year in a row, the Trojans pulled a huge upset. Last year, it was LSU. Today, Neal Brown’s team knocked off the Huskers 24-19.With the loss, Nebraska football is 0-2 for the first time since 1957.Things aren’t getting easier from here on out, either.Nebraska will start 0-2 for the first time since 1957. If Huskers lose next week at Michigan, they will start 0-3 for the first time since 1945.— Drew Hallett (@DrewCHallett) September 15, 2018Nebraska has now lost six straight games, dating back to last season. That is also a first dating back to that same 1957 season.Nebraska has lost 6 consecutive football games for the first time since 1957.That’s a hell of a sentence.— Dirk Chatelain (@dirkchatelain) September 15, 2018Frost has engineered big turnarounds before. UCF didn’t win a game the year before he got there. He took them to a bowl in year one, and an undefeated season in year two.Of course, the Big Ten is a different animal than the AAC.Nebraska has Michigan next week, and games against Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan State on the horizon. Fans may need to temper expectations and just weather the storm this season.
