(Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)Once again Alabama has reloaded its roster for another run to the national championship. Despite losing multiple starters to the upcoming NFL Draft, head coach Nick Saban is optimistic about his team. The Crimson Tide will be without two key playmakers on offense, as running backs Josh Jacobs and Damien Harris will hear their names called at the draft. Multiple analysts believe they’ll be the first from their position to come off the board.Jacobs had 640 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns this past season, meanwhile Harris led the team with 876 rushing yards and nine trips to the end zone. Most programs would suffer a setback if two marquee tailbacks left the program. However, Saban is very confident with his options for next season.Alabama always has talent in the backfield, and this season won’t be an exception. Saban trusts his standout juniors Najee Harris and Brian Robinson to deliver in bigger roles. From 247Sports:“I really feel like Najee (Harris) and B-Rob (Brian Robinson) are both really good players,” Saban said during his Wednesday post-practice press conference. “I think both of them have got a significant amount of experience in the past. I think they’re ready to take the next step in terms of making a really significant contribution. They both had really good springs.”The two combined for over 1,000 rushing yards and six touchdowns in 2018.There shouldn’t be much decline in production from the rushing attack of Alabama next season.[247Sports]last_img read more
